Classic video of Chael giving insight to UFC 159 and Jon Jones!
![]() Petes Mountian Recently I spent a few months in Washington on a work related trip. It was a good opportunity to go and visit Chael's pizzeria Mean Street Pizza. It was about a 45 minute drive from where I was staying and definitely worth the trip. Walking into the pizzeria was different than expected. It was smaller than I had expected yet with a high open ceiling design made the place open and comfortable. Since it is located on the corner of the building two of the walls are glass looking out, giving plenty natural light illuminating the place. They had several TV's hanging from the corners of the wall, showing sporting events. One of the walls featured some Mean Street Pizza apparel. From sweaters, to long and short sleeve shirts and some stylish hats. I purchased a long sleeve black shirt. ![]() Herb Cheese Breadsticks Upon entering, I was welcomed by a young attractive girl working the register. We ordered the 14" Pete's Mountain pictured above and an order of the bread sticks with marinara sauce pictured to the right. It wasn't too long and we were eating. The bread sticks were remarkable. Cooked to perfection with a crispy flavorful crust and soft center. Worth getting every visit. The only downfall would be that when I went back and ordered takeout, the bread sticks didn't have the same plumpness to them. Consistency is important in any restaurant and if they serve the bread sticks like I had them the first time every time, then nobody could resist getting them. The Pete's Mountain pizza is a combination of red sauce, genoa salami, pepperoni, Italian sausage, black olives and mushrooms. You could easily tell that the pizza was made with very fresh ingredients. The sauce was very good as well not overpowering the taste of the other ingredients but giving enough flavor for a perfect combination. The crust however was my favorite and what I consider makes the pizza. It reminded me of sort of a Neapolitan style crust. Slightly puffy around the edges with a brick oven flavor to it. The time that I ordered takeout I had ordered the Cascade Summit pizza which included red sauce, American bacon and pineapple. I am a fan of Hawaiian style pizzas which usually come with some sort of Canadian bacon. Having the American bacon on there was even better. It was something that I had never tried before and the bacon had a rich real bacon flavor that made you want more and more. Overall the experience both times were amazing. If you are in the area and looking for quality great tasting pizza, you will not be disappointed. Here is my ranking below of for the place. I am trying to be as unbiased as possible as well! 1 to 5 : 5 being the best. Taste: 4 Would have been a 5 if bread sticks were consistent Customer Service: 5 Personally great experience, have heard and read some bad comments however, management has handled them really well and that supersedes Price: 3 Food is worth the price, however seems to be a bit higher than competitors Atmosphere: 4 Nice, clean and friendly Overall: 4 Great tasting food, inspired by greatness and driven by business acumen - All Hail Chael Jeremy Hodgson Sonnen really hits the nail on the hammer spot on in this clip from UFC Tonight on Wrestling's removal from the Olympics. Sonnen talks with Uriah Hall before his first fight on the Ultimate Fighter. Sonnen really has done a tremendous job coaching this season of TUF. No doubt that he has learned from some of the best in the business and truly wants to see these young fighters succeed. Video from UFC Tonight where Chael Sonnen, Kenny Florian, and Ariel Helwani talk about the new UFC Fighter Rankings. Personally, not sure why the UFC insisted on making any sort of rankings. It is not needed among the UFC. Having a formal ranking only brings up more controversy. You can view the full rankings at UFC.com/rankings. I do not agree with many of the rankings and if you do agree. Then please educate me. Earlier this month, MMA photoshops unleashed this campaign design image featuring Chael Sonnen. Chael has a history in politics, which makes this design very fitting for the future LHW Champion. It also displays a witty slogan at the bottom "In with the class, out with the trash."
